I felt that the genre I chose was one where I speak from experience. Writing a speech was a great way to express what I had in mind because I can act like I have my Ted Talk by telling different scenarios to the public. I can get personal with my audience and grab their attention by throwing who I am out there. I felt like if I wrote a letter, I would have to get to know my audience more, but if I wrote a speech, My audience would get to know me more in a way. A.O.C had a wonderful speech. She brings up harassment towards women and language that dehumanizes the public, caused by people who have a lot of power within the nation. In the speech, we got to know her personally as to who she is and where she used to work, and she also brought up different scenarios to give us multiple perspectives about her subject.
