There are many discourse communities but ones that personally relate to me is a yoga discourse community or an acting discourse community. Both, I feel have problems within its structure that are problematic. Both of these communities have trouble with body image and body shaming. I think in many yoga studios people who are plus size feel uncomfortable or shamed depending on your instructor and if the place you go to is inclusive of all genders, races, shapes, and sizes. Yoga studios can also be very culturally appropriative, even though I agree yoga is and can be for everyone. Another community such as the acting community share the same problems such as body shaming. The acting community feels so much pressure based on looks, gender, and age. And lead to horrible things like eating disorders, and poor body image. I think these problems should be transparent in both communities in order to stop these things from happening in what is supposed to be safe spaces.
