A discourse Community that I will be doing my research on is the Makeup community. To be more specific it will be about Beauty Influencers using propaganda to advertise for makeup companies. One influencer that I know is from TikTok, his name is Alessandro. His @ is mualessandro He makes videos on hacks and truths about makeup which is very interesting to me. One way he approaches the problem is that he shows us how makeup looks in different lighting and gets straight to the point. I believe TikTok is a great Platform to reach tons of people and in his comment section many others agree with what he says and say how they always wondered as to why makeup doesn’t look like those bigger beauty influencers. Those who need to know about this problem are those who take an interest in wanting to become a part of the makeup community including the youth, seeing as to how much they can be influenced at a young age and can get the wrong idea of how makeup looks on the skin, and to those that may idolize the idea of having flawless skin due to an influence the media makes of it. By raising awareness of these issues to these groups, it can help with mental health.

Are you writing this as a make up artist who sees a problem with the way make up is being shown/advertised by influencers? How does it make up artists? Does it? If not, then how does the problem relate to your discourse community? Or are you writing this as a young person (perhaps in a particular age group) who is really interested in makeup?
