For years, we’ve neglected effective and safe means of transportation for the luxury of having our own personal vehicle. However, the time has come to give up said vehicles, as cities, the environment, and people can’t afford to keep them around anymore. Mass transit systems such as the one in New York are proof that American cities don’t have to be fully car dependent. Air quality is important in a city as dense as New York, and getting more people on trains and buses will improve our environment, the transit system itself, and our lives. With that being said, it strung into my Unit 2 subject. So I chose to base the infographic after the subway in New York. It covers most of what I talked about, but in its micro version.
