The model I chose to write for unit 1 was a letter. My thoughts on me choosing a letter was knowing that I’m more good with letters than speech. Not only that but with this assignment I felt like writing a letter would connect more with the audience I’m trying to reach. I found it straightforward by writing a letter. Writing a speech might make the audience misunderstand what I’m trying to say. It’s more indirect than direct with writing a letter rather than a speech, because I want to be more focused on talking to the main person who needs to hear my testimony. Especially if it’s between writing a traditional academic essay. Writing a letter rather than a traditional academic essay is better in my opinion because I feel like it’s a way to express myself and since I’ve been doing that since elementary or middle school, it starts to get boring, and tedious.
