The genre I chose to write is a letter. I enjoyed composing a letter because it allowed me to feel like I was directly speaking to my audience. It allowed me to thoroughly describe all of my points and statements. I felt comfortable while writing my letter. The author that helped me throughout my letter was Wollstonecraft. She inspired me to sound flattering at the start of my letter so that I can reel my audience in. Then, she started stating her points afterward, which is what I did too. In addition, writing this letter was very similar to writing a traditional essay because I still had direct quotes. Also, I had to introduce the quote, cite it, and explain it the same way as I would in a traditional essay. Overall, writing this letter was very pleasuring to write, especially since I am so passionate about my discourse community’s problem. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mVWs3Fb0klN-JhiyQq2JnsC3o1j9UZNbLXGqJStgJ5o/edit?usp=sharing
