Research Question

How does conspiracies change the way people think?

The reason I chose conspiracies as my research topic is because I have a lot of interest in hearing old conspiracies and also new ones as the world changes. My whole life I also was interested in how other people think and view certain world topics. As far from the six grade up to now I watched many videos on different topics that people have conspiracies ideas like 9/11, who killed JFK, the moon landing and many more topics. Hearing people talk and discuss why they believe certain moments in history are like this makes me look at what they’re saying from another point of view and this then makes me think or believe it was a conspiracy. What I expect to learn from my research is why people believe certain topics can be a conspiracy and I also expect to hear from the other side on how they’re not conspiracies. While doing research I expect to see the points that make the “truth” seem completely false and why some conspiracies are bigger than others. What I will search up is how some of these topics don’t go mainstream and watched the public eye. Many people don’t know or want to know the real facts, some just don’t care and don’t see the point in looking into these topics. In my opinion the government should be telling the truth to its people on what exactly took place on certain days where a big moment in history took place. I feel like people should be more engaged into finding out the truth instead of just following the system the government wants us to follow. The reason why some of these moments are just looked at as conspiracies is that people don’t have the determination to dig deep into the past and question what we or other people were told.

This is a bit too broad. Is there a specific conspiracy you’re interested in? Or are you interested in the way that misinformation gets spread? Let us talk on Wednesday to make sure you’re on the right track.
