Drafting was something I never used to see the point of. I would always feel like it was such a waste or time, thinking âWhy would I write multiple drafts if I can just write it one time and call it good?â After only writing one draft and proofreading it, I would be confused as to why I didnât get the grade I thought I would get. The only difference between my draft and my final paper would be less grammar and spelling mistake, and a few lines would be changed or shifted. Along with the fact that there was only a few changes, I would write the paper a few days or maybe even the night before. My proof reading would be grammarly and what ever I caught on my own while glancing over. As the years went by I noticed the benefit of writing multiple drafts but I couldnât break the habit of only writing one. The only time I would write more than one draft is when my teacher assigned us to write more than one. I want to get myself into the habit of writing more than one draft like the article we read said, and accept the fact that it will never be perfect first try.
