Hi all- the agenda for next week is below after this information on submitting your Unit 1 narrative. Make sure you scroll all the way to the end of this post to find the agenda because there is a lot of information.

Please remember that your Unit 1 assignment is due by the end-of-day on Friday 9/29.

To submit the assignment you should write a post that includes your reflective letter, followed by a link to your unit 1 narrative. Make sure the Google or Microsoft document link is set so that anyone with the link can edit.

Before publishing your post, make sure your title it “Unit 1” and you pick “Unit 1 Work” as a category, If you prefer, you can pick the private setting for your post so that only I see the final version of your narrative.

See this link to learn how to write a post: https://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/blog/help/writing-a-post-block-editor/

Here are the directions for your reflective letter:

Write a short reflective letter addressed to me about the process of writing your education narrative. In your response discuss the following questions:

  • what did you learn about yourself as a student? as a learner? as a writer? as a reviser, as a collaborator (eg, peer reviewer, suggesting questions for Unit 1, responding to classmates in the discussions)?
  • what types of resources (brainstorming, peer-review, office hours, writing center/tutoring, generative AI) did you use to write this narrative. Say how you used each and what you did and did not find helpful about each.
  • what grade do you think your project has earned, based on the grading criteria?
  • what do you want to work on further when you revise it for your final portfolio?
  • is there anything else I should know about?
