I usually struggle doing research on any topic. However, having the freedom to choose what I can write on really helped me focus more easily. It was much easier for me to want to know more and keep reading about my topic. But because I was so invested in my research I had difficulty narrowing down what I thought would be most important to include in my project. In doing this kind of research being able to be more skeptical about articles I read or other forms of media I consume before sharing. I can also take in other sides of an argument better since I am now more interested in where they come from and how they developed. This research has helped me understand that there’s more to information than just published pieces. Although I picked the most coherent ones for my project, absorbing unrefined opinions also affected the way I viewed the situation.
