Why did the Treaty of Versailles cause difficulties for Germany?
I am not entirely sure if I want my research question to be “Why did the Treaty of Versailles cause difficulties for Germany?” but, I want something along those lines. I always had a love for history. I love learning random things whether it be animal facts or some part of history. When I was in Nigeria I had picked a history class for one of my IGCSE exams. One of the requirements was a case study and in my case the school had picked German history 1919 to 1945 out of the 5 options. So I knew I wanted to do something along those lines of what I studied because I never got the chance to put the knowledge to use because of COVID the exams were canceled plus it helps to have some background knowledge for a research essay to know what I am looking for and trust for sources. What I expected to find are the terms of the treaty. Along with the great depression and how it played apart in it along with the treaty. The government system setup in order the balance affects and how it played a sort played big role on the up rise on the Nazi party. The issues that I don’t know if the question might be too broad seeing how there are multiple events that play a part in this treaty.
So you give yourself the very feedback I would give you, which is to say–this might be too broad, but we won’t know until you start to research. If you find that one aspect of treaty is really complicated then you’ll want to think about how that one aspect caused difficulties for Germany and made room for the Nazi party.
