I think that the more something is brought up, the more people become aware of the issue that is being pushed aside. Even though sometimes bringing things into the light and there isn’t much evidence as there are many people who rather hide the issue at hand than for it to be solved, there still is a chance for things to go back due to the awareness. Maybe there can be some sort of middle ground but it does create awareness of the mistreatment and the lack of acknowledgment from one person to the next.
The #MeToo Movement has been important in our current day society because of its ability to expose the lesser talked about evils that people encounter everyday. Social media has done a good job to give a voice to those who may have not had a voice before. This movement has been able to include those of any social class, race, age group, and sexual and gender identities. So, by utilizing popular social networking sites that have many users, such as twitter, people are able to expose any kind of corruption in communities.
I think Me Too movement is an topic that is discussed widely in many parts of the world. The Me Too movement is a movement regarding sexual abuse . The problem is very serious because sexual harassment cases are very hard to avoid. Those cases can affect a persons life both physically and mentally. There are women that go through alot of trauma mentally in other places including the United States of America. Also, there are sexual cases that are unreported which makes the problem worse then they can be because sometimes unreported cases makes things such as worse such as more sexual crimes are being commited. There are sexual cases that are being commited due to their identity, race,background and gender. Your identity is something that makes you unique and special. The sexual cases commited due to person’s identity is very obscene and very ruthless. People should always advocate for themselves if something is being unfair towards them.
