Continue working on Unit 4 – the Final Portfolio

WRITE.  Today we will brainstorm the s*&^ty first draft of your Final Reflection in class.  Finalize your draft response on Wednesday, May 11th by 1:40 p.m. and title it “Final Reflection SFD”.  Post it under “Discussions/Portfolio & Reflection”.

 

Don’t forget, as evidence to back up your points, you must use at least three quotes from your own writing this semester in your reflection, but this is something you will incorporate in the Final Reflection, not here in the brainstorming phase.

OK, it’s time to brainstorm in sequential order please!  Please indicate the question you are responding to by writing Q1, Q2, etc. , before your response.

  1. What have you learned about yourself as a reader, writer and scholar this term? (For question 1, your response should consist of three paragraphs – a paragraph for each aspect of the question: reader, writer, scholar.)
  2. How will you be able to use what you have learned this term and transfer that knowledge to other writing situations—either in college or in your community?
  3. How would you compare/contrast work you did early in the semester to now?
  4. What was your favorite/least favorite assignment and why?
  5. What are some notable lessons that have stuck with you after completing certain assignments?
  6. What changed in your writing (reading, thinking) as the genres and assignments changed?
  7. How did you make decisions in your assignments about content and design?
  8. What were your early assumptions/beliefs about yourself and writing? Have they since changed? Explain.
  9. What was your experience revising assignments?
  10. What was particularly challenging for you in our course this semester and how did you overcome it (or attempt to)?
