Urban Design is the study of the micro-scale and macro-scale of a site, city, or place. Urban Design focuses on what could possibly impact a site but also, what smart choices could a designer make it a more desirable place to live in.

For me, Urban Design is the meshing of communities in a effective and efficient manner. A city is filled with tight corners and limited spaces and to be able to design effectively is a difficult thing to achieve.

From my perspective I think urban design is the planning and development of structures/ spaces within an urban condensed area. It involves the studying the area understanding the characteristics of the people how they get around and interact within the area. While also identifying any problems that may exist in the site and solving these issues through what we decide to design, construct, or maybe even demolish.

It is the design of a certain area with different characteristics. The buildings have different heights and uses. Sometimes the height depends in the use. Everything is organized.

The development and shaping of cities, & towns. The establishment of houses, buildings and landscape. Process of the design and form of buildings.

I think Urban Design is the development of a building and its surroundings. It focuses on the landscape of the area and how the building fits within the surrounding. It may also focus on how we can save space and materials in the area.

Urban Design is designing a neighborhood, town or city so that the structures have the capability to house a large amount if people per structure so that we can use minimal amounts of resources. it also has each person take up minimal space so that the structures don’t use too many resources when being built. It contrast with suburban life because the amount of space taken up per person changes drastically.

urban design is about a master plan that focuses on several aspects of a location.some focuses involve circulation of pedestrian and traffic and renovating or creating different  building topology that corresponds to the need of the existing surroundings as well its history.

Urban Design is process of shaping the setting for life in cities, towns and villages; the art of making places; design in an urban context. Urban design involves the design of buildings, spaces and landscapes, and the establishment of a framework that can lead to successful development.  As opposed to focusing on one single structure, Urban design focuses on entire at once, to lay down a foundation for the structures to come.
