About Me!

Be kind to the people you meet on the way up, because you’re gonna meet those same people on the way down.

I am an individual who enjoys seeing creative ideas come to life, no matter how a person chooses to do so. I have always struggled with trying to figure out just what it is that I wanted to pursue as a career because there were so many things in the world that interest me, so my mother asked: What could you see yourself doing if you weren’t getting paid to do it? Of course, there were a few choices but above all else my childlike imagination would always bring me back to to one simple word: Create. Eventually, I decided to study Communication Design at the New York City College of Technology in order to absorb and learn as much as I possibly could about the many programs out there suited to shape me into a designer.

As someone who is still working to discover my role in the world, I have always been different in the way I view things that people call design. When I hear the word “Design”, I picture a small group of people laughing and sharing ideas about real-life issues or even imaginative situations where they would collaborate as a team to come up with small bits and pieces of ideas, with each person offering opinions or adding to each previous thought like building a thought ladder that would be pieced together as a solution to a puzzle as the final product.

I prefer working in an environment that offers designers room to breathe, make mistakes, be encouraged by colleagues to try again and inspire brand new designs into the world, whether they seem childish or mature and professional. Think about it, life is already a stepping ladder we struggle to keep in balance, why not give ourselves a moment of freedom to express ourselves through vivid pictures and stories and let our imaginations run wild for once.
