The goal of this assignment was to select two letters and explore the figure ground relationship (positive, negative, and ambiguous) between them and attempting to create a non-symbolic shape and identify the relationship of space in the resulting form. During this part of the project, I was able to freely play around  with the letters. I explored many different possibilities of shapes that could be created two completely separate objects in this composition. Although I don’t feel that the designs are not very successful, this helped me to understand a little better about just how important the figure-ground is in a composition.
