In September 2021 I presented at the 3rd International Interdisciplinary Conference: Food and Drink as Curse, organized by Pedagogical University of Krakow & Technological University Dublin. My presentation was “Minding your Manners in the Gilded Age,”  The conference organizers are creating a special edition of conference proceedings for the journal Food, Culture and Society. I submitted my article in spring 2022 and was given the opportunity to make edits and resubmit in March 2023. My article now rests with the editors as I wait to see if it is accepted for publication.
