I am absolutely thrilled to include this entry from the New York Times “Style” section, in which reporter Alix Strauss interviewed me and included quotes in her column about wedding traditions. I knew her name as soon as she contacted me, and I was already a fan of her work because of her work on the “Vows” section of the paper. I was able to witness first-hand the extent that the Times fact-checks; she asked for evidence of everything I said and wrote several times and called back to clarify small details. When the article was published, she wrote to thank me and then shared my contact info and gave me recognition on Instagram. She was thoroughly professional and so kind, and even texted me a photo of the hard copy knowing many people don’t ever see themselves “in print.” The Meaning Behind Germany’s Plate-Smashing Wedding Tradition – The New York Times
