The reason I chose this picture is because I enjoy the opposition of the flowers. One appears larger than the other and you can see how both sides of the flowers look as one has its back towards the camera and the other one is facing the viewer, almost creating a mirrored affect. I also like how the side light brings out the orange to yellow ombre in the flower petals.
When you put two things together in the frame, we, the viewers start to imagine relationships between them. Note the gradient. The way the light falls off can create some lovely effects.
