Portrait lighting

I really like this photo that I took of Palden because the light was side light and it was forming the triangle on his cheek. The photo is supposed to be mysterious and shady. The background light is dark and i really like this photo.

    The key triangle tells you that this is closer to Rembrandt light than side light. This means the light is at a 45 degree angle to the camera not a 90 degree angle.
