This is can be a shallow depth of field because the camera can focus on the second or third object. In this case, the stone is out of focus allowing the tree stand out.
This is a perspective photo because the sense of depth and banishing point on the curve of the street.
The photo you selected for shallow depth of field certainly has the elements in the front out of focus. Just so you know the depth of field can be much less with only a slim range from the camera being in focus.
In your example of perspective, the converging lines of the road do create a strong sense of depth.
