Reflection is deceptive, imagine trying to summarize , how you made it through a semester during a global crisis ; crazy right ? Life is master teacher and we are constantly learning everyday. The purpose of refection, is to help you rediscover something you might have missed, or to even learn from the experience. Reflection allows you (me) the writer, to make sense of a relation between the writing and the writer, and how the material can be shaped differently. In a way, it is kind of like an analysis. It helps you develop your skills and review effectiveness. If you were to read my first essay compared to my last, you will realize that I never knew how to properly start off an essay or formulate my paragraphs properly. At the beginning of the semester , I had on idea target audience have such an importance in your writing.Throughout the semester, I have learned how to properly reach my audience through various genres of writing.Decisions made in my assignments about my content and design , were always done after I gather my thoughts collectively. I sit through a reflective process after every piece I write, and ask myself a series of questions, “ does this make sense ?, how is my audience going to react to this ? , will they understand the message I am portraying?Notable lessons I have learned, that will stick with me for the rest of my life, is proofreading. I consider all my assignments a stepping stone, because writing is something that is always improving, it can be flipped , tossed , burned and it still essential to create a master piece. So, they are all my favorites, why ? because I gained new skills, while writing and rewriting.
