Topic- Police brutality/ Racism

Know-  What I know about police brutality is that it’s been going on for a really long time. Every time it gets big people protest and we see bare minimum changes but after a few years it’s back to the same situation. Lot of people died because of protests and clashes between cops and civilians but we still see no changes. Also racism plays a huge role in police brutality because it’s between people of color, mostly  african american that are being harassed by the police.

Want- I’m really curious why isn’t police brutality stopped yet. How many more people have to die more to it to be stopped. Why isn’t the government taking huge steps to end police brutality? Why is this same issue repeating itself again again? Why aren’t the cops training in a better way and putting more restrictions on using their guns? Why the government is ignoring our voice. I really want to know why racism exists in a system where the cops are supposed to protect us not kill us just because of our skin color.

Learned-  Recently 2 cops in minnesota killed a aferican american man name george. He was an innocent man and had no weapon on him but the cops choked him  to his death even when George said he couldn’t breath. This caused outrage all over the US and whole world people demanding changes. When people started to protest the police started to use lethal weapons like tear gas and etc to break the protest. I also learned a similar situation happened in 2014 and 1990 where protests happened but there were no changes and the protestors was getting hurt instead.

Still want to know- What i still wanna know is how long is going to take to see changes. When people will stop dying in an encounter with the cops. When will the government take more steps to end racism and police brutality in our system. I still have a lot of questions that I want to know.

Schools killing curiosity

According to the document “school killing curiosity why we need to stop telling our children to shut up and learn”  tells us that young student are being force to learn and their questions aren’t being answer. Schools are forcing student to learn and not letting them ask questions. School should be the place where student are more eager to ask question and learn. When I was a kid I was interested in aviation. I’m still interested in aviation till these days. I love learning about aviation. I’m always curious how we improve so much and what it feels like being in a metal cage at 400,000 feet in sky and what it’s like to take a 40 ton metal cage up and down in the sky. I’m still interested to learn more about aviation. Asking questions helped me a lot to get more knowledge about aviation. When i was first interested in aviation i barely knew anything about it but slowly as i was growing up i started to get more curious about aviation and was more eager to learn about it. My curiosity changed over the years by getting more information it slowly started to make sense. Often I think about becoming a pilot. I will become a pilot if I know more information about what it takes to become a pilot. School played a good and bad role in my curiosity because they provided me some information about aviation. I want school to have more courses about aviation and technology. When i was asking my teachers they barely knew anything about aviation therefore i didn’t get much information. I had to watch YouTube videos to learn about more Information. However it not same as asking someone person to person. When you ask someone they will give you more accurate information cause some these Information in online isn’t accurate.

“A Talk to Teachers” by James Baldwin.

A talk to teacher by James is a document about racism and segregation.  “I would try to make [the student] know that just as American history is longer, larger, more various, more beautiful and more terrible than anything anyone has ever said about it, so is the world larger, more daring, more beautiful and more terrible, but principally larger – and that it belongs to him. I would teach him that he doesn’t have to be bound by the expectations of any given administration, any given policy, any given morality; that he has the right and the necessity to examine everything”. James Baldwin was saying  american history has been around long and it’s beautiful but there is a lot of untold hidden history that involves a lot of people who live with it and it was terrible. Every beautiful history has a negative side to it. When James Baldwin said the word larger he meant new ways to be thought about history and more educational subjects. Nowadays we barely learn about any important subject that will help us in the future more people are turning into their own teachers and finding new ways to learn about stuff. I wished that we learned more about new ways of real life skill. They should teach us more of how to start our own business and ways to get more money to become successful in the future like expectation all etc. Also school should teach us more about future technology. I’m really interested to learn this topic because I want to start some business and other future goals which school doesn’t teach you how to start. You have to search and start from scratch. If school taught us these way earlier we would be ahead of our goals and complete them faster. This way we can work on more goals.
