The role that design should play in society is neutrality. Instead of having it tied down by authorship. They felt it was limiting to view these works on their own by having authorship tying it down. The idea of objectivity replacing that of subjectivity is what they wanted, letting the work to communicate its own message. What distinguishes the field of design from other creative occupations must keep neutrality in the work, while still communicating with the client’s desire. A lot of designers stick with neutrality, as it is an important aspect of the field. Designers should concern themselves with unsolvable theoretical questions because it allows a designer to expand their minds. It would then bleed into their work and make it grow. Technology plays an important role in shaping design, as it is the current thing that is helping us make designs. Designing came in different forms at different times, but with technology being a big part of our lives now, we are taking advantage of it to design. The most urgent problems facing designers today are deadlines. Meeting deadlines becomes a concern for designers if they aren’t able to satisfy the client’s demand, or impact the current audience.
