Photoville Photography Festival and Paper #1

Josh Haner, Toobeen Iareko, plays on rebar being used to build a new sea wall in Kiribati. The New York Times photographer Haner’s work is featured in the Photoville exhibition “Carbon’s Casualties.” (www.nytimes.com)

I forgot to mention that Photoville, NYC’s photography festival has opened and it will be open this weekend and next weekend too. The festival is free and open to the public. You can see some highlights from Photoville here. The festival takes place in Brooklyn Bridge Park, not far from CityTech. For more info, look here.

Although I handed out the instructions for Paper #1 in class, I’ve posted the assignment here under Class Download. Please remember to use the hyperlinks under “Readings“. In addition, the Ritchin book is on reserve at the circulation desk in the library (Atrium Building, 4th Floor).
