To load a selection in photoshop. You have to choose select then go to load selection. Once you choose the saved from the section that you saved from the selection menu then when all of that is done you hit ok.

To fill a selection with the foreground color you have to use the paint bucket tool. You first choose whatever foreground color that you want. You select the paint bucket that is located in the toolbox. Set all settings to how you may want them. To fill the background you select the background layer in the layer panel. select the drop down menu the select all. Click edit then fill. Next pick your color, when done click ok.

The 2nd question is really asking, how do you fill an area with the “foreground” color. Look at your tool panel on the left and identify the foreground color and the background color. You definitely can use the paint bucket, but there are a few other ways also.

So, the first thing we need to do is save a selection. Otherwise, we won’t have any to load. For example, we can grab the pen tool and make the shape of a star. Next, we go up to the toolbar and choose Select > Save Selection. This launches the ‘Save Selection’ dialog box. Then we click ‘New’ from the drop-down menu and title our new selection by typing a name into the name field. Now that we have a selection saved, we can load it. Navigate to the toolbar above the artboard and click ‘Select’ once again. From here, we scroll down and click ‘Load Selection’ this time. Use the selection drop-down and choose the previously saved and named selection. Be sure to choose which interaction within the operations menu you’d like and then click ‘Ok.’ This should then load the selection and have it interact with the current project on the artboard.

There are a  few different ways to fill a selection with a foreground or background color. I think the easiest way would be to select the layer that has the specified selection that needs to be filled. Then click, Choose Edit > from there, you scroll down and click ‘Fill’ and a Fill dialog box opens up. Under the ‘Contents’ drop-down menu, you can choose whether you’d like this process to apply foreground color or background color to the selection and you can choose which blending mode will interact with it. If you want to quickly fill the selection with foreground color without all the clicking of the mouse, you can use the keyboard shortcut Option + Delete (Mac) or Alt + Delete (Windows). For background color you would use the keyboard shortcut Command + Delete (Mac) or Ctrl + Delete (Windows). Depending on the keyboard layout, you can substitute the Backspace key for the Delete key.

First, you need to make a selection. You can use any of the tools that allow you to do so including, but not limited to the Lassos, the Marquee tools, or the wands. Each has their own purpose and best use cases. Once you have the selection, you can save it in the top menu under Select, then Save Selection. Here you can save the selection with any name you want so you can bring it up later. When you need to load it you can go to that same menu and choose Load Selection and choose the one you saved.

The easiest way to fill a selection with a foreground color is the Paint Bucket tool. While the marching ants are showing around your selection you can bring the tool to it and with a single click, it will be filled with the foreground color.

I had no idea you could do this with the paint bucket tool. I guess there’s more than just one way. Thanks for explaining this in a very to the point, concise manner.

In order to do a load selection you will start off by pressing on the selected photo. Going to it the tools you will save the selection. Then once it was save you will go back into the board and put it onto a layer. On a Mac you can do conman + option 2 and it will load the inside selection. Now if you want to fill it in with a color you would go into the colors bucket tool make sure you chose the selected part and it will add on the color.
