I decided to write about self-esteem and confidence for my beat. This matter sparks my curiosity because it’s something I’ve had to channel and learn for myself these last few years. Confidence isn’t something that’s taught. Many either have it or don’t. For those who grew up the shy, not-so-assured kid, being thrust into the world that relies on this vital part of communication skills, is a challenging experience for many. There is no immediate fix for this either; it’s not something like fixing a leaky faucet- it’s all based on our actions and practice by doing, not just learning. Confidence has to be incorporated into our personalities of who we are. Changing behaviors many of us are accustomed to from adolescence is hard to comprehend, and then unlearn those blockers that stop us from having confidence. This article will be an additional learning process for me as I conduct my research. I’ll be learning alongside my audience. I hope to walk away with wisdom that can impact me in any way. I want to answer; how to apply the skills I’ve learned about confidence in my everyday routine? How to have the confidence to be okay with failure? And answering what reasons or blockers make us feel less confident, address them, and learn how to change them. My target audience could be people of all ages who struggle with this topic. This research would be interesting to readers as I would use my own stories coupled with various outside accounts such as novels, interviews, and anecdotes from influences that many believe have mastered this craft. From all the research, I hope to dissect all the knowledge learned to create a few concise skills and answers to the problem of finding confidence and making it a part of who we are

I love your approach — that you’ll be learning along with your audience. That should make this very approachable and easy for people to want to read.
