    1. What I think of this piece is that it’s an interesting story because it talks about how to improve your writing by reading your previous writings or someone else’s story because you get to learn from your mistakes, it can help you improve to get better at your writing, and understanding what your going to write. I liked it because I learned something from it when I was reading the story, it talked about how to understand the writing better and learn from your previous writings.
    2. The tips that I learned about how to Read Like a Writer is that we should take our time on reading the writing, until we understand what is the writing about, look at our old writing to see what we did wrong so that we can figure our mistakes and fix our mistakes. Also to think carefully what we should write in our writing and re-read it again to see if it makes sense. How I might apply it when I read is like a comforting story that it happens to people’s life when they try to understand the story.
    3. I think what the author means when he says, “When you read like a writer, you are trying to figure out how the text you are reading was constructed so that you learn how to ‘build’ one for yourself” is that when you finish writing, you should read your writing out loud to see if your writing is good, and if your feeling confident of what you wrote, so that you can know what to fix in your writing to improve it. When I was writing an argument essay I would focus on my writing and stay concentrated, but sometimes when I’m done writing my essay and I would read sometimes I don’t even understand what I’m writing because I lose focus of what I’m supposed to write, so I always re-read and work on my essay in case if my essay doesn’t make sense or if this is the wrong piece of information that I’m not supposed to write.
    4. The author’s (Mike Bunn’s) purpose in writing this piece is to show us an example of how to write an essay carefully and the correctly way to do it right. Also to learn how to follow the steps first before starting to learn new details on how to begin. Mike Bunn’s intended audience were college English class students.
    5. The genre of this text is an article.
    6. What I noticed about How this text was written is that it was written like a story of their past lives and how much they have improved, and Tips of what students should do to understand in writing and completing it successfully.

     I think of this piece is that it’s an interesting story because It talk about reading and writing. They were saying How people can improve their reading and writing in this story. I liked it because I learned lot’s of thing from this story. I didn’t know reading is connected between writing.

    The tips I learned about how to Read Like a Writer is that We read the story carefully to find out the main idea or What the story about because It will help us to understand more about the story also It will help us to write the paragraph.

    I think  the author means when he says, “When you read like a writer, you are trying to figure out how the text you are reading was constructed so that you learn how to ‘build’ one for yourself is that When we write something like story or paragraph after finish it We have to read the paragraph to check is there any mistakes or make sure everything is ok. By that way we can improve our writing skill. Last semester I was writing a paragraph but I did focus on the story that’s why I feel very easy write and it’s improve my reading and writing skill.

    The author’s (Mike Bunn’s) purpose in writing this piece is to show us an example That how to write a better essay or How to improve the writing.

    1.I actually enjoyed the piece because it discussed how reading and analyzing can be better and include some of the tips too the style and overall it was good

    2.Tips that i got is to Learn to read like a writer by understanding how the text is written, noticing the author’s style, analyzing characters, questioning choices, and identifying techniques. When I read, pay attention to details, question why the author made certain choices, and use these insights to improve my own writing.

    3.When reading like a writer, you focus on how the author structures the text, chooses words, and develops characters. To apply it, pay attention to details, question the author’s choices, and learn from their techniques to improve your own writing.

    4.Mike Bunn wrote this to teach people, probably students or new writers, how to read with a writer’s perspective. The goal is to help them understand how texts are built so they can improve their own writing.

    5. the text is like a guide or lesson on how to read like a writer. It could be considered an educational essay or article.

    6.The writing style is probably simple and direct, aiming to teach the reader in a clear and step-by-step manner how to read like a writer.

    1. I think the piece is interesting for students who don’t know how to read like a writer. That piece helps students how to write their essays, what steps they had to follow to improve in them essays. I liked it because now I know how to read and think about how to understand the writer and maybe write in the same way my essay or just follow his steps to do well.
    2. In the reading I just read I found steps to read like a writer. Reading like a writer is not just about focusing on the information you are giving me. I must focus on what the author relied on to write the paragraph, what resources he uses, who the information is directed to and why.
    3. I think the author is trying to say that when we read we should focus on how the author gets to that point, because the author used that word and not another. Discover how it was developed so that we could build a similar one. Like a carpenter who looks in detail at each piece of a house in order to build a similar one.
    4. The context of the text is to read and detail each step the author took in writing. The author tries to persuade and teach young people and even more so university students to read like a writer so that they can correctly write an article or any literary genre. I think the text is aimed at people who only rely on the information but not on how to write it and detail it step by step.
    5. I think it is an article since an essay tries to summarize a text already read. An article is based on an introduction, body and conclusion.
    6. I noticed that this text was written with stories related to his life, testimonies from students who had to read like a writer, formal writing where he tries to inform and teach young people, and questions that make the audience question themselves.

    A: for me it is easy to read for people who is starting to read in English for college, also make you see in a different way the reading and writing.

    2.     What tips or ideas did you learn about how to Read Like a Writer? How might you apply it (use it) when you read?

    A: I knew about the highlight tip, but I didn’t know about taking notes and making questions before start to reading. In future lectures I will search information about my future reading and write a few questions before I start the reading.

    A: For me, it tries to mean that give a little more attention in how the sentences are formulated helps you to repeat in your own writing. For example, it would help me to know how I can start a text, with a note from other people or maybe with a story trying to call the attention to the readers.

    A.   The author’s purpose was teaching people a different way to see the reading and how conecte it is with the writing. I think the intended audience is future writers and readers in any context or career.

    A: Essay. If I’m no wrong, he mentions a few times during the text.

    6.     What did you notice about HOW this text was written? Choose one observation!

    A: He used a lot of experience or comments from other people, mostly students. Perspectives from people similar to the intended audience.

    1. To be honest I feel/think that article is quite boring… cause it was like those classic books which teach you useful knowledge, also at the same time is boring tho… But in this case, the author does add his story or the plot inside to the article, which can let the reader not feel bored about it… Well for me, books should separate the knowledge and the plot, like one entire book should be full of knowledge and one entire should be a plot(imaginary).
    2. When I read articles or books, I pay more attention to grammar. But it has to depend on what type of thing that author is going to write… Some authors tend to focus on the key points and ignore grammar. In my case I am more likely to talk about the main point, No Nonsense.

    4. I would say the author’s intended audience is English learners. It does teach you what you should look for when you write an essay.

    1) To be honest, I found this article is boring. The author says the same thing several times throughout the article. Besides that, the main idea of the article was interesting and informative. “How to read like a writer ” this article shows us how to focus on understanding the Techniques.

    2) Tips that I learn from this article is annotate which is I already applied before. As I read underline or highlight and fill the margins with questions is really helpful. and taking notes are most helpful for me.

    3) Author means when you read like a writer, when you try to understand from the author’s point of view. Then you know how to build for yourself. Example: If I pay close attention as a reader and writer, I will get ideas that I can build another one for myself.

    4)The purpose of this article “How to read like a writer” can help you understand how the process pf writing is a series of making choices. His indented audience are collage students.

    6) The author wants to understand by describing a lot. At the beginning of the article he has mentioned some of his past life. Then He analyzed a lot and explain to use his experiences and opinions.
