Rhetorical Activity: Use the Rhetorical Analysis worksheet on your own work and that of your colleagues in class. Work on a draft of your Education Narrative through the lens of the Rhetorical Analysis worksheet. Fill in the information answering the questions (Who is the author? Who is the audience? etc.) for your own draft. Make sure to use examples from your draft to support your answers on the worksheet. Then share a draft with a classmate to review and provide feedback on, using the rhetorical analysis worksheet. We will also analyze James Baldwin’s essay “A Talk with Teachers” together as a class, using the rhetorical analysis worksheet. These activities are all ways to practice “reading like a writer.” Save the worksheet to your class G Drive folder, and share with me.
