This banner design on my e-portfolio site is a desk plate I made on the first day off my graphic design principles class. The materials given were a sheet of blank paper , a page from a magazine as well as 2 pieces of 2 inch construction paper. I went for the blank sheet along with the magazine clipping and with some sharp persuasion guided by some scissors, I made a desk plate in ransom letter form. The paper was folded to present a 3-dimensional look, like that of a desk plate. The goal of that assignment was to reflect where I saw myself in the future post degree. The unconventional layout of the letters is my way of saying , I seek a mobile workspace. It also means I can have fun without losing form or at least I try to. Copywriting is something I have always wanted to get into. I just didn’t know that it was called copywriting. This banner was uploaded during the openlab tutorial session. I feel strongly that this design reflects who I am as a current design student as well as my professional intentions.
