Welcome to ASAP/ACE’s Skills for Success (S4S) page. Here you will learn about the monthly Skills for Success workshops, as well as additional events that are happening each semester. Register here!

What is Skills for Success:

Skills for Success (S4S) is an initiative for ASAP/ACE students to learn strategies that will help them focus and increase their GPA. Students explore their strengths and struggles, while considering the effects of their environments and communities on their academic growth. Sessions are mostly discussion-based with a variety of ways for you to engage and participate, including this fun word cloud below:

Your Skills for Success Requirement:

All ASAP/ACE students who have fallen below a 2.0 cumulative GPA are required to attend one Skills for Success workshop each month, for a total of 4 workshops. You can also make an individual appointment with the retention and engagement coordinator.

The Retention & Engagement Team:

Stephanie Lennon (she/her), MSEd
ASAP/ACE Retention and Engagement Coordinator

Stephanie Lennon has an extensive background in teaching, mentoring, and tutoring. Since 2021, she has been the ASAP/ACE Retention and Engagement Coordinator at New York City College of Technology. Her focus is on working with students to improve their organization, time management, and planning skills.

Elise Rivera (she/her)
College Assistant

Elise has worked in higher education since 2013. She’s been a peer mentor, a tutor and been involved in many aspects of advisement and student support. Elise has been a College Assistant for the ASAP/ACE program at City Tech since 2016 with a passion for working directly with students.
