Virtual Learning / Online Course Information
- Synchronous – Students and instructors meet online at the same time. Lectures, discussions, and presentations occur during scheduled hours.
- Asynchronous – Students complete coursework on their own time. Assignments must be submitted by the deadlines set by instructors.
Virtual Learning
Most hybrid and online courses are hosted through Brightspace. Check your City Tech email in case your professor uses a different platform.
Devices
All students need a computer to succeed with virtual learning.
ASAP / ACE Appointments
ASAP/ACE students book one-on-one appointments using the Navigate Student mobile app or desktop version with their CUNY Login.
Career Workshops are booked in Acuity.
Note: The first time you log in you will complete a short survey.

- Select Care Unit → Academic Advising
- Select Location → ASAP/ACE Phone Appointment or ASAP/ACE Virtual Appointment (Zoom)
- Select Service and choose your appointment topic
- Select your assigned ASAP/ACE Advisor or Peri Sharpe for Career Appointments
