Photography and Special Effects in Early Film

In the film there are many aspects of film that recall the practices of early photography. In the beginning of the film the men are posing wearing hats for an amount of time. This is seen in early photography when they would pose for photographs. In early photography they’re some photographs that are taken where they are placed next to one another: to tell a story. This film can be seen in that way as stills into a bigger picture. A photographic camera captures a moment in a stilled version whereas a film camera allows you to document the images are they are moving and changing. For example, the photograph we saw in class where the photographs are next to one another. If you would place them in a flip book it would create a mini motion picture.
