I think this can go either way. In one way I think that taking photos of oneself with different facial expression or different people is just a way of having fun and to “share” on those apps like instagram and twitter to let others knowing what you are doing, it seldom has deep meaning behind the photo that need viewers to figure out. However, in another way, it is indeed a way to record and document the moment which might be called as art.
