I enjoyed reading the article, “When the Camera Takes Over for the Eye.” I enjoyed Roberta Smith’s take on the camera and the ability for almost any individual to be accessible to a camera. I can appreciate what she is saying about people taking photos of photos, which embodies the article’s whole main focus. I would say that I am many times in awe of a specific photo and would like to share it with someone. Of course the cell phone is the easiest method in doing so. But another fundamental idea of taking a photo of a photo is that in that second photo, it can interpret a photo in a unique way which may not have been thought about originally, through the angle that secondary photo is taken. I would say times have changed since the first camera concept. Art can be something which is interpreted in multiple ways and I believe the camera allows you to do so even more than you thought possible before.
