Today’s Agenda

  • Checklist
    • Create all sheets – named and numbered correctly (SC-01)
    • Position on Sheets and View Numbering
    • Set display to shaded mode
    • Assign all materials
• Final Revit Modeling Tutorials
  • Splice Plate with Holes
  • Slotted Fin Plate
  • Diagonal Brace Attachment Plates
  • Diagonal Bracing
    • Method 1 – extrude along path
    • Method 2 – Structural Framing – Beams & Braces
• Annotations – Dimensions, Notes & Leaders
  • If an item has a name C 10 x 30 – Just label the name
  • If the item has basic dimensions – add a leader – 1″x2′-0″x1’8″ Steel Plate
  • As an alternative put actual dimensions in the view.
• Sheets List
  • SC-01 – Basic Layout view at 1/4″
  • SC-02 – Exploded Isometric with Annotations *
    • All view the same scale
    • Move the bubble titles off of the sheet
  • SC-03 – Kit of Parts
  • SC-04 – Details of Column Baseplate connection *
    • Views of different scales – 1 1/2″, 3″, 6″ etc.
    • Add Detail Items and hatch regions
    • Add Notes & Annotations
  • SC-05 – Details in groups of 4 *
    • Each group the views are the same scale (likely 1 = ‘1’-0″)
    • Each group has a plan, 2 elevations or 2 sections and 1 isometric
    • The isometric likely matches the one from the isometric sheet (create a duplicate)
    • Add plenty of notes and annotation and dimensions
    • Add Detail items as required
