Zoom Videos are posted –
I posted some additional videos from previous semesters that show the hold down bolt assembly in case you want to get ahead.
Due for next Class (Tuesday September 26th)
- As we did not get as far as I hoped I am adjusting our goals for next Tuesday. Keep in mind that the more you push yourself now the better I will be able to help you. Come prepared to class with good questions.
- Please watch the videos from a previous semester on the hold-down assembly.
- Revit Modeling (required)
- Model the HSS Round Column
- Model the HSS Square Column
- Place the new Round and Square columns in your project file.
- Model the baseplate

- Attach it to the bottom of the three columns on level 1
- Model the concrete footing
- Place this into the project file – place between the three columns on level 1
- Revit Sheets
- First two sheets – SC-01, SC-02 update these as needed based on class comments and based on the space required for the baseplate and footing assembly
- Third Sheet SC-03 – start the KIT of parts sheet and place all families you have created on this sheet
- Include – all three columns, baseplate and footing
- Fourth Sheet SC-04 – start this sheet and create groups of 4 views of intersections of different components
- (where columns meet baseplate and footing, where columns meet beams, where columns are spliced to columns, etc.)
- Remember you need to copy the same isometric views from SC-02 – and you may need to adjust the scale
- Post all sheets in MIRO
Optional for next Tuesday
- Revit Modeling
