ENG 1101: Composing Abstractions

This is a picture i did not take of a black tinted impala, that’s slowly cruising by a south Bronx neighbor hood and it slowly comes to a stop in front of a group of people that are playing dominoes, drinking alcohol and listening to loud music that’s coming from a car parked side by side with the side walk near the table in witch the game of dominoes was being played .

This is a photo I did not take of my cousin with his dog. We were around the town walking with the dog, when he saw a beautiful poppy by the shaking of his tail and licking Joel’s face I can tell he was happy.

This is a photo I did not take of two Afro-Americans men. They were playing with their drums and guitar at Times Square. Everybody was dancing to the rhythm of the drums and guitar, in the air we could perceive the happiness and the life. Then I noticed that the fanfare of the people was what gave them energy to make the drums charge life.

This is a photo I did not take of my mom cooking dinner. The smell of spices lingered around the kitchen. As she seasoned chicken breast over the stove there was a pot of homemade sauce. The air is hot and as her back is turned my brother sneaks a taste of the sauce.

This picture I did not take of a cat.  This cat had a beige coat of hair with dark brown spots. As it meowed at such high pitches as I walked by. Catching my attention as it began to follow me i saw that one eye was blue and the cat was limping. The cat was homeless making its way back to a dark corner under a few bushes.

This is a picture I did not take of a young homeless boy wearing a skirt. He was hungry and lonely. He asked for help but no one paid attention. Every person who walked by him did not even know his existence until a kid stopped and gave him a piece of chocolate.

This is a picture I did not take of a well-dressed man asking for money in a restaurant. He demanded the money in a very uncomfortable way which upset everybody. Therefore, he was ignored and kicked out of the restaurant.

SENSORY DETAIL – CONCRETE

This is a picture i did not take, of an older man walking, showing his emotions without saying a word.

This is a picture I did not take, a moment of two lovers re-uniting. A moment where nothing else in the world mattered, the way there smiles almost made the world around them fake. A moment where nothing else mattered. A moment when I almost saw into them as there hearts fell back into place.
