Coney Island, By Manpreet Singh
I took this picture on March 1st 2014, it’s a picture of my friend trying to jump over the trash can. This picture was taken on Coney Island. I decided to take a picture just in case he is running and falls, or trips over the trash can because the wood on the floor was very slippery due to the rain. This was a not a normal picture, my phone was on continuous shooting mode, so the phone would take multiply pictures in just a few seconds. This was just one of the pictures of when he was about to start running and was about to jump over the trash can. There are no filters or anything else in the pictures, I choose this photo because of the nice, and calm feeling of the background.
Hi Manpreet,
Good photo. But, it does not exactly match the description of the jump. This is an example if the photography knowing a great deal about the scene and the pro-filmic event.

I love this picture because of its calm and lonely environment. This shows a typical late winter season in Coney Island Brooklyn. There are lots of well fitted parallel tanned boardwalk that spread out to avoid the beach sand. What is so marvelous about this picture is the view of the cloud that seems to overshadow the ocean and the clouds look as if it has merged with the ocean at the extreme. There are some long stainless barricades demarcating the well leveled sand from the boardwalk. The man at the edge of the picture looks confused and he is standing adjacent to one of the beach benches. There are wide gaps in between the beach benches and the only street lights have two bobs. The greenish trash bin, reminded of where I hid when I saw some scary looking creatures at night, on my way back from a party 5 years ago in Atlanta.
I haven’t been here in a while, and yet the moment I saw this picture all my memories rushed back. The punctum for me is definitely there, and if I was to write about it I would end up with a book lol. Thanks for the flashback 🙂
