The rise and fall of Dan Brown

About five years ago a youtuber named Dan Brown set off to conduct a grand experiment. For one year of his life, all decisions (expect those that would harm his health or any relationships with his loved ones) would be made by the internet. At this point in time Dan had hundreds of thousands of followers, myself included. And we were tasked with taking full control of his life. The community would post ideas about what he should accomplish, and the most popular ones Dan would have to do. Right away it was voted that he should move. And we voted that he would move out of his parents basement in Nebraska and go live in San Francisco. And he did! For a short while it was amazing to be a part of this. But it quickly turned against itself. The community could rarely agree on anything. The only things that were ever accomplished were silly tasks like “Spend the day at the park” or “Eat a whole stack of pancakes” It was no longer a grand experiment. Dan wanted to see how his life would change for better or worse at the hands of the internet. Sadly, neither better or worse came of it. And after only four months, he scrapped the idea and moved back home.
