Hundreds Have Contacted The FBI Pedophile Case Of Ex-Teacher William Vahey

As a human service worker, we want our new generation to have a healthy school environment.  However, some students are not that lucky.  Hundreds of people have contacted the FBI to arrest the pedophile teacher, William Vahey.  According to the article, in 1969, Vahey was arrested on child sexual abuse charges and went to jail for five years. For example, he went on a school trip and handed out double cream Oreos with sleeping pills (at bedtime) that are “enough to leave the boys unconscious as he touched them and posed them for nude photographs.” This is an issue because Vahey committed the same crime after he came out from jail and went back to a teaching career to molest boys. How can we help him? What can we do? Vahely admitted that he molested young boys because “I was molested as a boy that is why I do this. I have been doing this my whole life.” He should have received counseling or therapy for help. In class, we discussed developing rehabilitation, education, and programs for prisoners. However, it is difficult to create these programs because of taxpayers. How can we convince taxpayers to spend a little more from their pocket to help this vulnerable population?

Parents, 6 Sons, Accused Of Sexually Abusing Girl For Nearly A Decade

The judge press Charges against the six brothers for sexual abuse and rapes their 16 years old sister since she was 4 years old. The judge charged the parents with a felony for witnessing the process, yet they did not prevent the situation. All of the six brothers are in jail while the parents are free out of a bail.  Do you think this is fair to the brothers? The parents should put in jail because it is their responsibility to prevent their children from raping their sister (child neglect). Maybe,  the six brothers thought it was “ok” to rape since they were taught that this type of behavior is normal. What do you think about the parents? Maybe the parents were sexual abused in their childhood and believed it was ok for the boys to repeats the same cycle. Also, what will happen to the sister after being traumatized by this incident? She may put in a foster care and develop mental illness, such as PTSD, depression, lack of trust, or low-self esteem. As a human service worker, what can do to help the sister to recover and the parents? (Such as, therapy, counseling, education or rehabilitation). After the six brothers come out from jail,  How would society view them after breaking the norms?

Not all girls in video were taken in April 14, raid, some relatives say.

What do you guys think about what Boko Haram is doing to these girls? What can we as human service workers do to try and spread awareness about what’s going on? What if you had a client and their relative was involved in this? What can we do to help these girls out?

According to the article, A 14 years old boy sexually assaulted and suffocated the 11 years old girl.

I noticed that there is an increase in violent crime among younger youth. As a human service student, why do you think there is a rise  in violent crime, such as muggings, robbing, gun violent  by children? How can we prevent this from happening?
