Should the Boston Marathon Killer get the death penalty?

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/31/us/boston-marathon-bombing-case.html?emc=edit_na_20140130

Everybody has heard of the Boston Marathon Bombings, well Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is accused of killing and maiming individuals of all ages, with homemade bombs.  Massachusetts abolished the death penalty in 1984, but the federal government reinstated its death penalty in 1988. I chose this article because as i read it, i realized i had mixed feelings about the death penalty in this case. As human service workers we should take our personal feelings out of the equation and professionally handle each situation, this is a dilemma for me, but i do know the taking of an individuals life should not be taken lightly. What do you think about this case, are you facing the same dilemma as I, as a human service worker would you classify Mr. Tsarnaev as a psychopath or what?

  1. I believe that he should get the death penalty because he killed many of the individuals that were running in the marathon for no apparent reason. However, if the government wants to be nice and put him in prison for the rest of his life, that’s an option as well.
