   My heart goes out to this family. It is sad to know that in a time of such advanced technology, such savagery can occur. As human service workers, it is imperative to look within the community to establish the mental stability, and social norms that would allow for such a thing to occur. We would have to research the community, and the diverse cultures to see where intervention, rehabilitation, and prevention maybe most useful. Cognitive-behavioral re-collaboration therapy appears needed within this community. As for the father, I would strongly suggest counseling, and a bereavement group to maintain his mental stability, without which he can become a danger to himself as well as others.

   What has happened to this family is truly horrible. The father really went through a lot of negative issues in his life and probably would need therapy and/group counseling at come point. This could also affect him as he becomes an elderly.
