  1. It takes a lot for someone to actually go through with committing suicide. One thing that I hear very often just like in this article is that the family and friends of the person who killed themselves had no idea that something was wrong. Having stricter gun laws may or may not reduce suicide attempts. However, just like the article mentioned, people who contemplate suicide do not necessarily have a mental illness. With many people who are feeling depressed and want to kill themselves, they show no signs of feeling that way. Kerry seemed to have his life together. No one knew what was going on in his head.
