homework # 2

I think that Evan Walker has a really interesting way of taking photographs. The way he takes photographs are so different from others. I have never seen anyone take pictures without taking their cameras out in facing their focus. He hides his camera in his coat and takes photos of people on the subway without them noticing. I guess maybe if he took out the camera to take pictures, it wouldn’t be candid. Also it wouldn’t show the real expressions on the people’s faces if the camera was visible and that they know they are being photographed. Usually when a camera is out, people change their expressions and smile to look good in the photos. But taking pictures candidly, you can see everyones expression whether it’s happy, sad, mad, and etc. It might upset the people or startled them as well if they are being photographed by a stranger.

    Hi Kelly,

I totally agree with you ” He hides his camera in his coat and takes photos of people on the subway without them noticing”. yes he did take picture of these strangers in a very slick way. its funny how none of these strangers even noticed that he had his hand in his coat the whole time and moving it in weird ways to capture people faces. If this happened in todays society and I happened to be on the subway, I would’ve probably noticed it and immediately reported him.
