• Professor will introduce Team-Led Discussion on the reading – Students will be grouped in teams to present a different lecture each week.

• Review and expand our tools for looking at and analyzing architecture:
  • three categories – firmness, commodity & delight (from Vitruvius)
  • basic architectural ordering systems (Ching, Form, Space and Order)

• Review the Rubric for Team-Led Discussions and the Advanced Questioning table; prepare to lead the review discussion of Ancient Greece if your team has been assigned

• Architectural ordering systems
  • review architectural ordering systems (Ching, Form, Space and Order)
  • find buildings in your textbook that exemplify each ordering system
  • sketch from your textbook (give building name and page #) one example of each ordering system: centralized, linear, radial, clustered, and grid

• Complete your Notebook assignments for Class 4:
  • class notes (review discussion and lecture)
  • reading notes (see reading assignment on the Syllabus)
  • this week’s Vocabulary & Questions (see the Assignments page)
