I started to intern in “Calling All Graphics” which is located in Brooklyn and the location is close to Bay Ridge. Calling All Graphics is a private company which my supervisor is also the president of the company. My supervisor is the owner and creator of a printing / graphic design / marketing business, with a total of 18+ years experience in the graphic design and printing industry. So far I explored on her, she has management level skills and normally working in a fast paced, high pressure deadline environment. She is also organized, multi-task oriented, articulate team player with the ability to develop and maintain long term working relationships with clients and staff. She has many clients that she used to work with them for many years. Which is also made me get inspired of building strong network. She is keep contacting with them every month to continue and keep track on her business. The company was established in 2010 and incorporated in NY.

In the business, there is only me and my supervisor working in her home office. I really liked how its a freelance job because you can build up strong communication with your supervisor and whatever project comes through phone, we just share our ideas out-loud and apply to the work. My job is helping her with the projects, so basically I am the graphic design intern. For example, designing logos, menu boards, flyers, posters, signages and packaging. She answers the phone from her personal mobile device and get the information from her clients, and then we talk about what are we going to design. She is really helpful if you are struggling what to do and I learned from her a lot.
