This week’s agenda

  • Learn three founders of sociology: Emil Durkheim, Karl Marx, and Max Weber, as well as W.E.B. Du Bois.
  • Understand modern theoretical approaches, including symbolic interactionism, functionalism, Marxism, feminism, rational choice approach, and postmodern theory.
  • Understand how sociological theories help us understand ourselves, our society, and the world.
