Week-end Thought Prompt WEEK 1 “Bloom’s Taxonomy”

Hi Class, What a great first week we had! Well, I told you I would give you extra homework over Labor Day Weekend, since I wouldn’t see you Monday, but I didn’t come through fast enough. Hope you are not too upset about that.

: )

Instead, I would propose a short thinking prompt. (Nothing to hand in, but just ideas with which you ought to get more familiar.) So, check out this illustration of Bloom’s Taxonomy, and then watch this short video explaining it. It should take 5 minutes, total.

Have a great week-end, and look forward to seeing you Wednesday.

Welcome!

If you are reading this, it means that you made it to our OpenLab Course Site. Congrats!

Here are some of the ways you will be using this site:

  1. You will be uploading work to your STUDENT FOLDER.

2. You will be finding your assignments every week in the WEEKLY ASSIGNMENT FOLDERS.

3. (There is almost nothing you need to buy for this class by way of textbooks and readings.) Most every reading I assign you will be provided via a link on our COURSE READINGS page.

So yes, this website is like a virtual hub for our class. I suggest you bookmark the pages I just mentioned, so that you have them easily at hand. : )

Oh, and I almost forgot: Check out the SYLLABUS!

Our site is still under construction. Be sure to ask me questions about it, and other things, when I see you in our first week of school.
