“Dropping A Han Dynasty Urn,” by artist Ai WeiWei is a work divided into three sections, known as a triptych. In the photos a man is standing in front of a brick wall at the center of the camera. He keeps the same posture, the same facial expression and the same emotional state. His facial expression looks like he doesn’t care but, irrespective of that; the man keeps eye contact with the viewer. In the first photo the man is holding an old looking vase, the second photo the vase falls from the man’s arms and the third photo shows the vase smashed at the man’s feet.
